This undergraduate degree prepares students for a career in the rapidly expanding esports industry. The programme combines academic theory with practical application, drawing on content and expertise from current industry professionals. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to operate in dynamic teams within esports and live streaming.
The curriculum covers key areas including technology, marketing, events, and analytics. Teaching methods include recorded lectures, workshops, and seminars, complemented by field visits to industry venues. Assessments are varied and can consist of written assignments such as essays and reports, as well as presentations, vlogs, and examinations.
The University of Sunderland is a globally recognised institution with a fantastic history of providing higher education. The university offers a wide range of courses, including the BSc Esports Event Management programme, with both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees available across many fields. The institution offers programmes in areas such as Medicine, Law, Engineering, Business, and the Arts, among others.
Candidates are required to provide a personal statement outlining their reasons for applying and other relevant information about their academic history. An academic and/or employer reference is also necessary. Students have the option to upload their CV to demonstrate any work experience they have.
