The University of Suffolk MSc Adult Nursing (Pre-registration) programme is designed for graduates who are from non-nursing backgrounds and wish to become a Registered Nurse (Adult). The course is delivered through various theory modules alongside extensive clinical placements in various settings, which will allow students to quickly build the professional skills and experience that are required for adult care.
Students will split their time between 50% clinical practice (a minimum of 2,300 hours) and 50% theoretical study (2,300 hours). Students in this course will be involved in placements, which may include work in acute wards, community nursing, and specialist areas. These placements involve working 37.5 hours per week across a 24-hour shift pattern, including nights and weekends. Successful completion of this course leads to eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
