BA Architecture ARB Part 1

Course Overview

The BA Architecture degree is accredited by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) as Part 1 of the professional training process, the first stage of becoming a registered architect in the United Kingdom. This three-year undergraduate programme holds RIBA Candidate Status and gives exemption from ARB Part 1 after successful completion.

The programme teaches students to see architecture as a way to shape culture and the environment; it is founded on principles of ecologies, pedagogies, and techniques. The curriculum focuses on building designers who can respond to rapid environmental, social, and economic change using thoughtful and creative design practice.

Students are taught by professional architects trained from different backgrounds, and they will benefit from a strong studio culture that draws from local architectural practices and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Suffolk.
