Entry requirements
This BEng Aerospace Engineering Sandwich Year at the University of South Wales aims to give you the skills and knowledge you'll need in the aerospace industry. Flight vehicles face tough conditions because of changes in air pressure and temperature, as well as stress on their parts.
The course covers many areas of tech and engineering, like how air moves, engines, electronics, what things are made of, how things are built, and making things. Because there are so many different fields involved, aerospace engineering involves teams of engineers, each with their own speciality.
The programme is designed to meet the standards of the RAeS and IMechE for Incorporated Engineer status. This course includes a real flight, plus time practising in a flight simulator. We have good ties with the industry and value student projects. We also encourage work placements as part of a year-long opportunity.
