BSc Quantity Surveying

This four-year, full-time BSc in Quantity Surveying with a Foundation Year teaches students everything about managing costs, measurements, and contracts in building projects. Students learn about new building technologies and how to handle money and information for construction. The first year, called the Foundation Year, gets students ready for university by teaching them important study skills and basic knowledge.

After the Foundation Year, students start the main three-year degree and will study specific subjects like Law for Surveyors and Construction Science. They will also learn by looking at real-life examples, doing lab work, joining discussions, and doing hands-on activities to understand building design and its costs.

Grade Requirements

• It is required that applicants should have 64–80 UCAS points to get into the Foundation Year and can get these points from A-levels (like DDE grades), a BTEC (like MPP), or an Access to Higher Education Diploma (with 45 Pass credits).

English Proficiency

• If English is not the applicant's main language, applicants will need an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with at least 5.5 in each section (listening, reading, writing, and speaking).
• The University of Roehampton accepts other English tests like Pearson PTE Academic 59 overall, with no section below 59 and TOEFL iBT 80 overall, with certain minimums in each part.

For the September 2025 entrance, the annual tuition fee is £19,500.

The University of Roehampton offers different scholarships and financial support to help both UK and international students, even those on foundation year courses. For example, UK undergraduate students with strong grades can qualify for the Academic Excellence Scholarship. The university also provides Esports Scholarships for talented players, which are open to both UK and international students.

In addition, there is a specific Roehampton Women in Esports scholarship aimed at encouraging more female students to join the Esports community from September. If you excel in sports, you could receive a Scholarship for Sporting Excellence, which includes financial support and mentoring. International students can also be eligible for an International Excellence Scholarship, offering up to a £4,000 tuition fee discount, or Country Scholarships for up to £2,500 off, depending on their home country.
