The BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering course teaches students to design, develop, and manufacture electronic equipment and devices that can make an impact on the world. It gives an excellent foundation in the theory and design of electronics, with opportunities to put this knowledge into practice using the university's facilities. Graduates of this programme meet the educational requirements for Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.
Students learn practically in advanced labs, workshops, and software suites, along with industrial site visits and field trips and are assessed through written examinations, coursework, practical tests, project work, and presentations. Students also have the option to take a work placement year after their second year which helps them gain industry experience either in the UK or abroad.
