LLM Law by Research
Course overview
This Master's degree, the LLM Law (by Research) at the University of Kent, is designed for in-depth legal study. Students focus entirely on researching one specific area of law, examining its historical, social, and economic context. Full-time students typically complete the degree in one year, while part-time students take two years.
For this research degree, students will be assigned two supervisors who will meet with them every month to provide support. Their final assessment is mainly based on a dissertation (a long research paper) of up to 15,000 words. Students must also complete required training in legal research and writing skills. International students have the option to complete the entire program remotely from their home country.
