BSc Biochemistry With a Foundation Year
Course overview
The BSc Biochemistry with a Foundation Year is a four-year undergraduate programme designed for students who do not meet the entry requirements for direct admission into the standard degree. The foundation year is structured to strengthen academic skills and scientific knowledge, ensuring students are fully prepared for the demanding science-based curriculum that follows.
Accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB), the programme enables students to study living organisms at a molecular level while addressing key issues in health and the environment. Successful completion of the foundation year guarantees progression into the main Biochemistry degree or other related science pathways such as Biosciences or Chemistry.
