Course overview
The PhD Law Research Degrees at the University of Hull welcome applications for many different legal topics, such as contract law, international law, human rights, maritime law, and criminal justice. This programme takes three years of full-time research (or six years part-time), which is followed by a period for writing up. If studying full-time, students must hand in their final 100,000-word thesis within three years and three months.

Researchers benefit from a strong academic environment, receiving expert guidance from at least two academic staff members, structured training, and financial assistance to help pay for research trips and conference attendance.
