University of Hull

BEng Mechanical Engineering

University of Hull

Course overview

The BEng Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hull is a 3-year, full-time course that treats students as trainee engineers. The modules they will study encourage project-based learning. And they get the chance to plan, build, and test their own prototypes. In their first year, students will gain the core theoretical and practical skills they need throughout their time here and beyond.

CAD, programming, control, and thermo fluids are just a few of the areas students will cover. The mathematics module is specifically geared towards engineering applications. Students will also take part in the Global Challenge, where they will work in a team to tackle a design and build project. It’s not all study and work as there are lots of extra-curricular activities for students to get involved with as well. Join the university's thriving Robotics Society and become part of its Hull Electric Racing Team (HERT).
