PhD Psychology
Course overview
This PhD Psychology programme allows students to run their own major research project in psychology. They will greatly add to the knowledge in the field, develop advanced academic skills and improve their professional practice. Academic staff will guide their work. Students can research in one of three main areas: social, cognitive, and neuropsychology; forensic psychology; policing; and health and well-being.
The study will involve working closely with research-active supervisors who have expertise in a broad range of areas. The degree requires the completion of a substantial, original research project and a subsequent thesis.
