If you want to pursue a career in Sport, Coaching and Physical Education, but do not have the qualifications for the BSc course. The foundation programme is an excellent starting point. The BSc Sport, Coaching and Physical Education with Foundation Year at the University of Gloucestershire will help lay the foundation for the full-degree programme.

The first year is designed to help students acquire the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to proceed with the remainder of the programme. The remaining three years are the main honours programme. It focuses on sport coaching, physical education, movement science, and practical placements.

Entry requirements

International students who want to study BSc Sport, Coaching and Physical Education with Foundation Year in the University of Gloucestershire must meet specific grade and English language requirements.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a UCAS tariff of 48 points

  • Alternatively, an A-level grade EEE is also allowed

  • Students with a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first taught from September 2016) will also be considered.

English Language Requirements:

  • International students must have an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.

    The value of the scholarship will be £7,500 (spread over the 3 years) for Undergraduate students and £5,000 for Postgraduate students.

    £7,500 tuition fee waiver split over the three years of tuition fee.
