PhD Psychology
Course overview
The PhD Psychology at the University of Essex allows students to work one-on-one with an expert staff member and focus on designing, conducting, and writing up innovative psychological studies. Supervision for PhD Psychology within our Department of Psychology is available across diverse fields of psychology, including, but not limited to, cognitive psychology, social and cognitive neuroscience, social psychology, and developmental psychology.
Students study in a stimulating and vibrant research environment with excellent research facilities. In general, students enjoy the same access to neuroscience and other research equipment as the academic staff of the University, and access to our research participant pool, which is essential for their experimental research. They also benefit from the supportive supervision given by the staff and the friendly and collegiate atmosphere provided by fellow students.
