BSc Sport, Physical Education and Development
Course overview
This BSc Sport, Physical Education and Development is a four-year degree that begins with a special foundation year. The complete course gives them an excellent start in Physical Education (PE), developing sport in local areas, and community support work. It teaches students to use sports and activities as a strong way to promote better health for everyone. They will learn how to make sports easy and welcoming for all people to join in, which prepares them for careers in teaching or community-based jobs.
Students learn with a technique called a "flipped classroom." They will first do some work online by themself. After that, they will go to class for active lessons led by their teachers. Their overall mark comes from various things, like coursework, writing reports and essays, and practical, hands-on teaching. In the last year, they must finish a major research project and do a required work placement. This gives them great experience working with schools and large sports companies
