Overview

The global business industry is ever-evolving and there is now a high demand for individuals who can steer businesses to success. BA Business & Management at the University of Central Lancashire is a programme that focuses on teaching students how to effectively manage business operations. 

In the University of Central Lancashire's BA Business & Management programme, students will understand the theories, principles, key ideas and models that rule present-day business management. Notably, these principles and skills are put into practice through live projects, internships and volunteering.

The university also offers students an optional 48-week industry placement during year 3 of this programme. This serves as an opportunity for practical learning in the real world. Additionally, students can take advantage of the university's enterprise support – Propeller, to launch startups of their own.

Entry Requirements

To study BA Business & Management at the University of Central Lancashire, the following requirements must be met:

Grade requirements

  • Applicants need UCAS tariff points between 104–112.
  • For GCSE, applicants must have grade C/4 in 5 subjects including Maths and English.
  • The university also accepts BTEC Extended Diploma with DMM and 104–112 points in the Pass Access Course.

For international students

The university accepts International Baccalaureate with Pass including 104–112 points from higher Level Subjects and other specific qualifications equivalent to the UK standard.

English Proficiency

Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.0. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for BA Business & Management is £17,325 per year. While this covers the majority of the educational expenses, there may be additional costs to consider.

Scholarships

The University of Central Lancashire provides students with financial support through several bursaries and scholarships. This support is unique to different countries and tailored to suit the anticipated needs of the student.

One scholarship is the Excellence scholarship where applicants with excellent grades before admission receive £3,500 per year. This scholarship is automatically applied as a reduction to the tuition fee.
