BSc Nursing with Registered Nurse Adult
Course overview
The BSc Nursing with Registered Nurse (Adult) at the University of Central Lancashire prepares you for one of the most rewarding careers: delivering professional, compassionate care to adults in need. A key focus of adult nursing is promoting good health and educating people to care for themselves and others, whether your patients are in hospital, care homes, or being nursed at home.
Studying BSc Nursing with Registered Nurse (Adult) from UCLan offers you a choice in how you study, along with essential practical experience. You have the flexibility to choose between in-person and blended learning delivery. The blended option is ideal if you have other commitments, as 80% of the course is delivered online. You will undertake substantial practical work experience placements, being allocated to one of several NHS Trusts within the Central Lancashire region as your base.
Throughout the course, you will work with a range of adults, some with physical problems and others with mental health challenges. This calls for excellent listening skills alongside your clinical knowledge. This course is supported by Comensus, a group of service users and carers who share their lived experience directly with students. Their involvement helps you develop empathy, communication skills, and a person-centred approach to care.
