This is a four-year degree that includes a foundation year. It is for those who might not have the usual qualifications or who have a different educational background. In the first year, they will focus on skills like academic writing and maths, as well as topics related to psychology, to get them ready for the full degree. They must pass this foundation year to move on to the next part of the course.
The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and covers the main areas of psychology. Students will learn in different ways, including workshops, virtual reality, and computer activities. Their work will be assessed in ways similar to what they would do in a real job, including presentations, reports, essays, and group work. They can also gain work experience through placement and participation in research projects with university teachers.
