MSci Microbiology and Immunology with a Foundation Year
Course overview
This course is a five-year integrated master's degree that starts with a foundation year for applicants who do not meet the standard direct entry qualifications. The course looks into the study of microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, and immunology, and it examines the human body's defence mechanism. The main focus of this course is on the important connection between the two disciplines, especially in relation to infectious diseases and immune system disorders.
The course connects these disciplines with applications to real-life situations, such as industrial applications and the development of new preventive strategies and interventions. The advanced MSci degree includes an integrated master's year, which is spent undertaking a major research project. The students taking this course enjoy the advantage of using the best bioanalytical equipment and are instructed by active, publishing researchers.
