LLM Law with Criminology
Course overview
This is a three-year degree that brings together the study of English and Welsh law with a detailed look at criminology. The course is set up to give students a strong base in core legal knowledge, as well as teaching them the main ideas and theories about crime and current criminal justice policies. It provides the necessary legal background for anyone wanting to become a solicitor or barrister.
This course helps students build strong research and analytical skills and teaches them how to express their ideas clearly when they speak and write. Students get the chance to be involved in real legal work at the active Law Clinic, as well as other activities like mooting (mock trials). For even more professional experience, they can choose a four-year option that includes a Year Abroad at one of the partner universities.
Entry requirements
Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. An academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.
