BSc Physics with foundation year
Course overview
This undergraduate programme includes a foundation year to prepare students for the full degree. The foundation year builds essential knowledge in Physics and Mathematics for students who may not have the standard entry qualifications. The degree emphasises practical skills and 'learning by doing', utilising advanced facilities like an on-campus observatory and specialised medical imaging equipment. Assessment methods are varied, including coursework, practical laboratory assessments, and formal written examinations and tests. Students have opportunities for a paid summer research scholarship and a professional work placement or study abroad year.
