BSc Sport and Exercise Science

The BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at Middlesex University is a three-year undergraduate course that combines what students learn in class with hands-on experience. Students will learn at the London Sport Institute, with teaching happening at the new facilities at StoneX Stadium, which have modern labs and equipment.

The course covers subjects like biomechanics, exercise physiology, and sports psychology. All of the assessments are based on coursework, such as reports, presentations, and practical tests. Students also need to complete at least 50 hours of work placements to get real-world experience, with the option of doing a full year-long placement.

Middlesex University is a public research university in London with a history that goes back to 1878. The institution offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a wide range of fields, including Business, Law, Health, and Creative Industries. Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need to have A-levels with grades CCC, which must include a grade C or higher in a Science subject or PE.
• Alternatively, a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in a related field with grades MMM is acceptable. The university will also consider other combinations of qualifications and will be flexible for applicants with relevant work experience.

English Proficiency:

• If English is not the applicant's first language, they will need an overall IELTS academic score of 6.5, with no section lower than 6.0 in each component.
• If they haven't taken an English test yet, they can take a pre-sessional English course approved by Middlesex University.

The annual tuition fee for the programme is £16,600 for international students.

Middlesex University offers several scholarships to assist international students with the cost of their degree. The Regional Awards are for talented students who have a strong academic record and provide a reduction in course fees for the first year. Another option is the International Merit Awards, which are for any international student with a good academic record and offer up to £2,000 towards tuition fees for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

If students have achievements in sports, the Significant Achievement in Sport scholarship could be a fantastic choice. It offers between £200 and £1,000 for undergraduate and postgraduate students. To be considered for this award, students will need to provide proof of their accomplishments and references.
