MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence

The MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence programme at London South Bank University is designed to transform graduates into professionals in practical artificial intelligence and it focuses on smart manufacturing, industry 4.0, natural language processing, and computer vision. The topics covered are for both computing and non-computing graduates who want to start a career in machine learning and AI solutions. 

Students will learn practical skills using industry tools and software, including Python and OpenCV, and have access to high-performance labs and specialized equipment with assessments that include coursework and examinations and modules that include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision.

The final stage is a dissertation, a research or development project of 12,000–15,000 words. The programme is available in both full-time and part-time modes, with an option for work placement starting from September 2025.

Grade Requirements: 

• Applicants need to hold a 2:2 UK honours first degree or an international equivalent in any subject. 
• The university may consider candidates with a combination of qualifications and relevant work experience if they show potential for postgraduate studies.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants need an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with no individual component scoring below 5.5. 
• Other test scores such as TOEFL iBT (overall score of 90, with minimums for each section) or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with an overall score of 60 (with a minimum of 59 in each skill area).

For the 2025/26 academic year, the tuition fee for the MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence course is £18,600 for international students.
