LLB Law Criminology Pathway

The LLB Law (Criminology Pathway) provides students with a deep understanding of crime and the criminal justice system, with a focus on its impact on society. The programme emphasises employability and digital skills, equipping students with the tools to analyse crime as a factor of societal change.

The course not only enables students to understand crime; it also provides them with knowledge on why crimes occur, how societies respond to them, and what can be done to prevent them. These skills prepare them for successful careers in criminology and related fields.

This programme runs for 3 years, during which students have the option to undertake a placement year, providing them with practical real-world experience. This hands-on experience enhances their skills and prepares them for a range of professional roles within the criminal justice system and beyond.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants are expected to have 112 UCAS tariff points or equivalent level 3 qualifications.

English Proficiency:

• If English is not your first language, you will need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each part.
• The university also accepts other test scores, such as TOEFL or PTE.

For international students, the tuition fee for LLB Law (Criminology Pathway) is £16,500 for the 2025-26 academic year.

London South Bank University offers scholarships for international students. One of these is the £2,000 Vice-Chancellor’s International Merit Award, which is given each academic year to students whose grades are equivalent to at least AAB at UK A-levels.

Another option available is the Global Success Scholarship, which can provide up to £4,000 to help students start their international careers at LSBU.
