BSc Science and Football

The BSc Science and Football at Liverpool John Moores University is a three-year programme that teaches scientific concepts, psychology, physiology, and performance analysis while developing students' footballing skills. This course is designed for students who prefer a balance between academic work and recreation. They will also have access to industry professionals who can offer sponsorship and work placements.

In this programme, students will learn about various aspects of science, including biology, physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The course offers both theory and practice, where students can apply theories learned in the classroom in the laboratories to solve problems and also apply them in the field. Additionally, they will understand how science aligns with football, especially in physics, where they will learn about projectiles and their motion.

Optional modules are available in this course for students who love calculations. They will also do quantitative work through mathematics, statistics, and advanced mathematics.

Learning in this course is through lectures, seminars, conferences, laboratory sessions, and tutorials. Assessment methods include presentations, fieldwork, and examinations.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need about 112 UCAS points or similar qualifications.
• Acceptable qualifications include 2 A-levels in Science or Sport, BTEC, Access to Higher Education, T levels, or International Baccalaureate between 26-28 points.

English Proficiency:

• International students must obtain an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no component below 5.5.
