BSc Nutrition with Foundation Year

Course Overview

The BSc Nutrition with Foundation Year starts with a Foundation Year designed for students who do not have the requirements to enter directly into the main degree. This programme will help students build a basic understanding and skills in science and nutrition.

 

This course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN) and it meets the standards for UK Nutritionists. After passing the foundation programme, students will move into the main degree years, where they will learn nutrition in detail with topics such as health, diet, metabolism, and food science.

 

During the course, students will learn through lectures, workshops, laboratory sessions, and online learning and will be assessed through exams, essays, reports, presentations, practicals, and optional placements.
