BA Health and Social Care with Foundation Year

This course examines the relationship between health, well-being and current healthcare issues worldwide, covering topics like psychological interventions, social prescribing, and multi-agency working. This course has a foundation year, which will help a student get a degree if they do not meet the course requirements or need support before starting the main degree.

The programme is taught using theory and practice and assessed with presentations, portfolios, case study reviews, reports, and exams. Students also have the choice of a professional work placement, which will give them the opportunity to apply what they have learnt and build their confidence.

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course, a relevant academic and/or employer reference, and have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications.

Grade Requirements: 

• Candidates need a UCAS tariff of 48 points.
• All candidates must have a minimum of a grade 4 or C in GCSE English.

English Proficiency: 

• Candidates can submit an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test, with no component score below 5.5.
• PTE overall score of 75 and TOEFL overall score of 59 are also accepted.
