MSc Data Science

The MSc Data Science at Heriot-Watt University is a programme that teaches students how to extract valuable knowledge from large amounts of data. Grade Requirements: 

• Applicants are expected to have a second-class honours degree (2.2).  
• Applicants need a non-UK equivalent, with important components in computer science and programming. 
• Candidates who do not meet these academic requirements may still be considered for a two-year programme, available for September intake only. 
• International qualifications are accepted for consideration.

English Proficiency: 

• Applicants need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component score below 5.5. 
• TOEFL and PTE scores are also accepted. 
• The university also offers English language courses for those who meet the entry criteria.

The tuition fee for International students is £25,480, for those opting for part-time study is £12,740 for the 2025/26 academic year.
