Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements: 

  • For Year 1 entry, you need Highers at BBBB, or A-Levels at BCC-BBB, International Baccalaureate - 28 points, a BTEC Extended Diploma (MMM) in an engineering-relevant subject. Higher requirements apply for direct entry into Year 2.

English Proficiency: 

  • If English is not your first language, you need an IELTS score of 6.0 with no score lower than 5.5. 
  • Other equivalent test scores, such as PTE and TOEFL, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for international students for the BEng Architectural Engineering at Heriot-Watt University is £19,456.

Scholarships
