MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Course Overview

The MEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a four-year integrated Master's program that develops advanced skills for senior engineering roles, covering a broad range of electrical and electronic engineering principles, including contemporary systems and industrial applications, with options for industrial placement or study abroad to enhance practical experience.

Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement, academic or employer reference, and a detailed research proposal, with an optional CV, to show their suitability for the course.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants require between 112 and 128 UCAS Tariff points and must include an A-Level in Mathematics at Grade C or above. 
  • A-Levels range from BBC to ABB. 
  • For a BTEC Extended Diploma, a Distinction, Merit, Merit (DMM) to Distinction, Distinction, Merit (DDM) is often required, preferably in Engineering. 
  • The university also accepts other qualifications such as T Levels (Overall grade of Merit) and Access to Higher Education Diplomas, provided they meet the UCAS Tariff point requirements and include relevant mathematical content.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants require an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component scoring below 5.5.
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) or TOEFL (iBT) is also accepted.

Cost of Study

For the academic year 2025/26, the tuition fees for the MEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering course are £17,000 per year.
