BEng Biomedical Engineering

The Edge Hill University Biomedical Engineering programme is designed to prepare students for a rapidly expanding field that combines engineering principles with medical science to address healthcare needs. This honours degree aims to meet the academic requirements for achieving Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants for the BEng Biomedical Engineering programme typically need between 112 and 120 UCAS Tariff points. This must include an A Level in Mathematics at Grade C or higher, or an equivalent qualification. 
• The university accepts various qualification combinations, including A Levels and BTEC awards.

English Proficiency:

• Candidates who do not speak English as their first language must have an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual part scoring lower than 5.5. 
• The university also accepts comparable scores from other approved English language tests.

The annual tuition fee for international students taking the BEng Biomedical Engineering at Edge Hill University is £16,500 per year.

Edge Hill University offers various scholarships for undergraduate students from overseas. All full-time, overseas fee-paying students are automatically considered for an undergraduate development scholarship, which can provide up to £3,000 towards the first year's tuition fees. Furthermore, students who pay their full tuition fees before the Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) is issued may receive a £500 discount. The university also has an International Scholarship worth £3,000 per year, awarded automatically to eligible full-time international students.
