BSc Games Production

Course Overview

The De Montfort University Games Production programme is designed to provide students with practical skills for a rewarding career within the video games industry. The programme concentrates on developing professional aptitude in gaming technologies and tools, including hands-on experience with industry-standard game engines like Unity3D and Unreal Engine. 

Students will also acquire expertise in sound engineering and cross-platform development for Console, Mobile, Virtual, and Augmented Reality, with a strong emphasis on professionalism. Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements: 

  • Applicants typically need 112 UCAS points from at least two A-levels, or a BTEC National Diploma/Extended Diploma at Distinction, Merit, Merit (DMM) or equivalent. 
  • Alternative qualifications such as a Pass in a QAA-accredited Access to HE Diploma or an International Baccalaureate score of 26 points or higher are also considered. 
  • Applications from mature students with non-standard qualifications and relevant experience are welcome.

English Proficiency:

  • If English is not your first language, you will need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component score below 5.5, or equivalent recognised English language qualifications, such as TOEFL and PTE. 

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for international students pursuing the BSc Games Production at De Montfort University is £16,750.

Scholarships

De Montfort University offers several scholarships for eligible international undergraduate students. Key scholarships include the Global Access Scholarship, which provides a fee reduction and is automatically awarded to students who pay their deposit by the specified deadline for September and January intakes.
