BMedSci Medical Science

Course Overview

The De Montfort University BMedSci Medical Science course gives an insight into the way the human body works, whether in health or sickness. It is a coursework that integrates laboratory science with clinical practice so that the student would be ready to work in medical research and allied careers. The curriculum is presented through a block teaching system, which allows the students to focus on one subject at a time, resulting in improved study-life balance.

Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need to have a minimum of 112 UCAS points from at least two A-levels. One of these A-levels must be in either Biology, Chemistry, or Human Biology, with a grade of C or higher. 
  • The university also welcomes qualifications equivalent to A-Levels and applications from mature students with non-standard qualifications.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants whose first language is not English are required to have an overall IELTS score of 6.5. Other equivalent test scores, such as TOEFL and PTE, are also accepted by the univers

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the BMedSci Medical Science at De Montfort University is £16,750 for international students.

Scholarships

De Montfort University offers a range of scholarships and bursaries. While there is no specific scholarship for the BMedSci Medical Science course, eligible international students may be automatically awarded a Global Access Scholarship if they pay their deposit fee by the deadline. Additionally, a further £500 full fee payment discount is available for the first year of study for all undergraduate students who pay their full fees before the deposit deadline.
