BSc Architectural Technology

This course will train students to become architectural or building technologists, a key role in the construction industry. It focuses on architectural design, how buildings perform, and the construction methods used to create sustainable buildings. The programme also helps students develop their design skills and gives them a strong foundation in drawing and modelling architectural shapes.

Students will be assessed in different ways, such as through design portfolios, coursework, reports, and projects. You may also have presentations, group work, tests, and lab tasks. Part of your studies will involve guided and independent work, where you will review what you have learned and complete assignments.

Coventry University is a respected institution that welcomes students from all over the world. The university provides a wide selection of courses, including the BSc Architectural Technology degree. It offers programmes for students at all levels, from those starting their first degree (undergraduate) to those continuing their studies after graduation (postgraduate). The courses cover many subjects, such as engineering, business, law, and the arts.

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. Grade Requirements:

• Applicants for the 4-year course with a foundation year need 64 UCAS Tariff points.
• This is in addition to five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Mathematics.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to meet the English language requirements, which are typically part of the entry criteria.
• The standard requirement for this undergraduate course is an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no section below 5.5, or a similar recognised test.

The tuition fee for this course is £19,850 per year for international students.

At Coventry University, a number of scholarships are available to students, including those studying BSc Architectural Technology, though none are exclusive to the course. For international students from outside the EU, the International CU Undergraduate Scholarship can provide up to £6,000 over three years, while the Vice-Chancellor Undergraduate Scholarship offers up to £4,000 over the same period. Both are awarded automatically to eligible applicants who meet the necessary conditions.

Additionally, the university offers an EU Support Bursary, which reduces tuition fees for EU students to match those of UK students. For students who excel in sports, Sports Scholarships are available. These awards, valued at either £1,500 or £3,000 annually, are given to top-level athletes competing in specific programmes like BUCS, Olympic, or Paralympic sports.
