BSc Sport Exercise Science

The Cardiff Metropolitan University BSc Sport & Exercise Science (with Foundation) programme includes an integrated foundation year designed to prepare students for the main degree. The foundation year is specifically intended for applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements for direct entry into the first year or who need to strengthen their confidence and knowledge in the required science disciplines.

After completing the foundational year, students move on to the three-year honours degree, which is approved by the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES). The subsequent years focus on the major scientific principles of physiology, biomechanics and psychology as they apply to sport and exercise through lab work and professional practice.

• To be enrolled, applicants need a minimum of 56 UCAS tariff points, which is equivalent to A-Level, BTEC, or T-Level. Other international qualifications equivalent to A-Levels are accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Candidates whose first language is not English are required to achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section or submit equivalent acceptable test scores.

The tuition fee for international students on the BSc Sport & Exercise Science (with Foundation) at Cardiff Metropolitan University is £16,000.
