Entry Requirements

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. Grade Requirements: 

  • Applicants typically need a 2:1 or above in any subject for their undergraduate degree. 
  • Applicants with a 2:2 classification in a subject with relevant content/experience in sociology, psychology, physiology, health studies or social work will be considered.

English Proficiency:

  • If an applicant's first language is not English, a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 overall with no individual component below 6.5 is required. 
  • Other equivalent English language test scores, such as PTE and TOEFL, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

International students taking the MSc Mental Health Nursing at Buckinghamshire New University pay £15,150 per year for tuition.

Scholarships

There are several financial support options for postgraduate students at Buckinghamshire New University, including the BNU Financial Aid for emergencies and an Alumni Postgraduate Fee Discount for graduates. Eligible students may also apply for a Postgraduate Loan from the UK Government. Additionally, nursing students undertaking eligible courses, such as the MSc Mental Health Nursing, may be entitled to receive financial support through the NHS Learning Support Fund, which provides a payment of at least £5,000 per year that does not need to be repaid.
