Brunel University London

Course overview

This five-year, full-time MBBS Medicine at Brunel University London is designed to give students the necessary practical and professional skills to become new doctors. It uses a technique based on evidence and includes modern digital tools, focusing on learning basic science ideas as well as hands-on clinical work. The students commence meeting and treating patients early on, in Year 1, which prepares them for the UK's National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Programme.

Teaching uses a method called Team-Based Learning (TBL) in classrooms designed for this very purpose. This method helps students improve their understanding through talking with classmates and solving problems together. They are checked continuously throughout the course using diverse methods, rather than just taking normal written exams. The institution has modern facilities, which include an anatomy suite, fake hospital wards, and video rooms for practising clinical skills.
