Course Overview

The MSc Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Wellbeing at Edge Hill University is designed to give you the knowledge and practical skills necessary to drive change in young people’s mental health and wellbeing. It is a one-year full-time (or two-year part-time) programme that equips you with the tools to influence practice through evidence-based leadership.

Aligned with Department for Education assurance for senior mental health lead training, this course covers core areas such as trauma and complexity, innovation in mental health, leadership and transformation, research methods, wellness and early help, and multi-agency working. When you graduate with this degree, you will know how to challenge and implement best practice and lead in mental health services for children and young people.

In this programme, you will learn through a blend of lectures, seminars, workshops, experiential modules, and independent study, supported by a strong focus on collaborative and reflective learning. Assessment is done through a combination of scenario-based activities, patchwork text production, reflective portfolios, presentations, and a final dissertation of publishable quality.

Entry Requirements for Indian Students

To study MSc Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Wellbeing at Edge Hill University, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade Requirements:

  • You should have a bachelor's degree classification from second-class (2:2 and above) in a relevant subject like child and adolescent mental health, child health and wellbeing, health and social care, psychology, sociology or education.

English Proficiency:

  • Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.5. TOEFL or other equivalents are also accepted.

Cost of Study

Scholarships
