BA Games Design and Development

Course Overview

The BA Games Design and Development at Coventry University teaches all stages of game creation, from storyboarding, concept development and prototyping to full production, quality assurance and testing. 

Students use a studio‑based environment that mirrors professional practice, supported by industry‑led projects and collaborative development, enabling you to build playable games across multiple platforms and are assessed through projects, pitching, prototyping and creation of game‑design documentation. 

The first year is shared with related creative‑technology courses, while later years let you specialise and even opt for an optional placement year, with reduced fee and mentor support, to gain valuable hands-on experience.
