BA Business Administration

The BA Business Administration at De Montfort University is a top-up programme and is intended for students who already have knowledge of business principles but want to improve their understanding and professional skills. This one-year, full-time course aims to prepare students for leadership positions by teaching them about global business strategies, with specialisations in Finance, Marketing, and Strategy and Management. 

Students will study modules like Business Principles and Practice, Contemporary Issues in Business Administration, and Strategy for Business Administration. They will learn to identify and solve business problems and manage organisations effectively. Assessments include presentations, group projects, tests, and exams, which help students strengthen both their theoretical understanding and practical skills.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants should have completed the equivalent of 240 credits at levels 4 and 5.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants whose first language is not English need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each skill area. 
• Other equivalent test scores are acceptable as well.

The tuition fee for international students enrolling in De Montfort University BA Business Administration programme for the 2025/26 academic year is £16,250 per year. Please be aware that this fee may still be updated.

De Montfort University provides scholarships to support international students financially. For students who pay their tuition fees in full before the deposit deadline, there is a £500 discount available. The Global Partnership Scholarship offers fee reductions or full scholarships for one year to international students transferring from DMU’s partner institutions. 

Another option is the Global Access Scholarship, which gives £2,000 off tuition for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students. Lastly, postgraduate students who have previously studied at DMU can apply for the Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship, which offers a 20% discount on selected courses.
