MEng Mechanical Engineering
Course overview
The Master of Engineering (MEng) programme at the University of Sussex trains students to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex system development, including sustainable power generation, power-trains for automotive vehicles, and jet engines for aircraft propulsion.
The university conducts world-class research, including the Dynamics, Control and Vehicle Research Group and Thermo-Fluid Mechanics Research Centre, which develop innovative concepts in vehicle technology and efficient aero-engines.
Students will study in Future Technologies Labs, which incorporate computer suites and new automation/robotics facilities, and a dedicated manufacturing lab with state-of-the-art facilities like CNC machines and 3-D printers. Specialisations in subjects like CAD, computational fluid dynamics, control, vibration, tribology, and aerodynamics are available.
