BSc Nursing Studies Registered Nurse Adult Nursing with foundation year

Course Overview

This undergraduate programme lasts for four years and has a foundation year that prepares students to become Registered Adult Nurses by caring for people from ages 16 and above. The programme is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and provides theory and practical experience to get graduates ready to work immediately.

The Foundation Year will build students' academic skills to move on to the main degree. Students will be taught in a Clinical Simulation Centre, which has realistic wards and a critical care unit where they will practise situations with actors and manikins. With both practice and studying, students will be placed in clinical settings throughout the course, with NHS partner trusts.

Entry Requirements for Bangladeshi Students

Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference and CVs to show their work experience. If the candidate meets the entry criteria, they will be invited to attend an interview as part of the selection process. Admission is subject to a satisfactory occupational health screening and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Grade Requirements

  • Candidates need an A-level that includes a CCD or equivalent.
  • Other International qualifications equivalent to A-levels are also accepted.
  • A GCSE grade 4 (C) in English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.

English Proficiency:

  • Candidates should submit an overall score of 6.5 in the IELTS test, with a minimum of 6.0 in each section.
  • PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The international students’ tuition fee for the BSc Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Adult Nursing) with Foundation Year programme at the University of Surrey is £17,500. Note that this is subject to change yearly.

Scholarships

The university offers several awards for International students that can help you with your fees. There is the International Excellence Award, which can take off £5,000 from tuition fees.
