Course overview

The BSc International Business Management with a Foundation Year at the University of Surrey is designed for students who need an extra year of study to prepare for undergraduate-level education. The foundation year provides essential knowledge in business and economics, which helps students build a strong academic base. Students learn through lectures, seminars, and workshops to develop their understanding of international business concepts. This preparatory year ensures students are well-equipped to progress to the full degree programme.

Students learn about global business strategies, cross-cultural management, and international marketing and are assessed through coursework, presentations, and examinations, allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively.

The programme also emphasises the development of work skills, with opportunities for practical learning and engagement with industry professionals. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, students will advance to the BSc International Business Management degree, where they can further specialise and enhance their career prospects.
