BEng Aerospace Engineering
Course overview
The BEng Aerospace Engineering at the University of Surrey is a guide for anyone who wants to build things that fly. It covers everything from the airplanes to the high-tech spacecraft that travel into orbit. You will spend your time learning how to design, build, and improve these machines so they are safer, faster, and better for the planet.
You get to use professional tools that real engineers use every day. For example, you’ll use wind tunnels. You will also spend time in flight simulators, where you can sit in a cockpit and test how your own designs would actually fly in the real world.
Teaching includes lectures, projects, and group work. Assessments are exams, reports, presentations, practical tasks, and a final-year individual project. The degree is accredited towards Incorporated Engineer status and partly towards Chartered Engineer. Graduates gain skills for professional jobs.
