Course Overview

The BSc Adult Nursing Practice at the University of Sunderland is a three-year undergraduate degree course approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK. This means international students who complete this course can register with the NMC as registered nurses.

Entry Requirements for Bangladeshi Students

Applicants must submit transcripts or certificates (translated if required), a completed application form, passport copy, two references, financial proof (for visa purposes), a health declaration/health check, and a criminal record certificate (DBS or equivalent).

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants should have up to five passes with at least a grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English in GCSE (or international equivalent).
  • The typical offer for this course is 96–112 UCAS Tariff points from Level 3 qualifications.
  • For transfers (APL): Applicants transferring NMC-approved nursing studies must have 120 credits at Level 4 and a minimum of 675 placement hours.
  • Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may take one of the university’s foundation pathways.

English Proficiency:

  • International students must have an overall IELTS score of 7.0 (with at least 6.5 in each element).
  • Other accepted qualifications include: Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) – any score above 180 O-Level or GCSE English – minimum grade C (or equivalent) Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) – minimum 59 in each component

Cost of Study
