MSc Quantum Technologies

Course Overview

The MSc Quantum Technologies prepares students with the experience and knowledge needed to work in the fast-growing field of quantum physics. The course teaches the fundamentals of quantum physics and its applications to many quantum technologies, including quantum computing and sensing.

The course works on new ways of computing that could change calculations in science and industry. Their research focuses on developing new quantum algorithms that could build the next generation of quantum technology.

This course includes a research project, where they experiment in a computational setting using all they have learned in the classroom. This approach prepares graduates for a PhD course or for roles in industrial research and development.

About University

The University of Strathclyde, founded in 1796, is located in the centre of Glasgow, Scotland's largest city. It is a leading public research university and was the first technological university in the UK. It was built on the principle of offering "useful learning." The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in four faculties: Engineering, Science, the Strathclyde Business School, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

Strathclyde has received various awards, including being the only university to be awarded UK University of the Year twice by the Times Higher Education Awards. The university is making its campus a first-class learning environment for all students and staff with investments from its sponsors.
