LLB Law with Spanish

The LLB Hons Law with Spanish course at the University of Strathclyde is a five-year degree that provides you with two highly valuable skills: a law degree from Scotland and the ability to speak Spanish fluently. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, with over 500 million native speakers. After finishing the course, you will meet all the professional requirements of the Law Society of Scotland, which means you can train to become a lawyer in Scotland.

In your studies, you will cover all the main law subjects like Constitutional Law and EU Law. At the same time, you will take compulsory Spanish language classes. You will also get hands-on experience by using the Law Clinic, which is run by students, and Ardcalloch, a place where you can practise solving everyday legal issues. Studying LLB Hons Law with Spanish from the University of Strathclyde will equip you with a powerful combination of legal expertise and international language skills.

Grade Requirements:

• To be eligible for this course, students are required to achieve certain academic results. For example, if you are presenting A-levels, you should have final grades between ABB and BBB.
• If you are studying for the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, you must have a total score of 30 to 34 points.
• Another path to entry is having a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) where you have successfully obtained an A grade in the final assessment units, known as Graded Units.

English Proficiency:

• If you are applying from outside the UK and English is not your mother tongue, you must prove your ability to use the language. You need to get an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or an equivalent result. It is also essential that you score at least 5.5 in every section of the exam.

The annual tuition fee to study the LLB Hons Law with Spanish course at the University of Strathclyde is £23,850. Please note that fees are subject to an annual review.

Strathclyde offers scholarships to help students from other countries pay for their university fees. These scholarships are competitive, meaning they go to students with very good school grades. The main one for new students is the International Scholarship. This scholarship gives you a £5,000 discount on your tuition every year you study. You don't need to fill out any extra forms; if your grades are high enough, you get the scholarship automatically.
