Course overview

The BEng Civil Engineering with Foundation Year at the University of Roehampton gives students a complete education in structural, environmental, and transportation engineering, with a core focus on sustainability. All students will be ready for a career-building infrastructure and tackling global issues. Entry requirements

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement where they outline their reasons for applying for the course and any other relevant background information regarding their studies. An academic and employer reference is also required to support the application. Students have the option to upload their CV along with their application to demonstrate any relevant work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • The entry requirement for the BEng Civil Engineering with Foundation Year (4 Years) programme is between 64 UCAS tariff points (or equivalent qualification) for entry onto the foundation year.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to score an overall 5.5 in the IELTS examination for entry onto the foundation year.
  • Equivalent Secure English Language Test (SELT) scores may also be submitted and considered as proof of English language ability.
