BSc Psychology with Clinical Psychology with Year in Abroad

University of Kent

Course overview

The BSc Psychology with Clinical Psychology with Year Abroad at the University of Kent is a four-year degree accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). This course offers you broad training in psychology and allows you to explore the current models used in clinical research and practice, focusing on how we investigate, assess, and treat mental and physical well-being.

Students study the main areas required by the BPS. The specific focus on Clinical Psychology is included in special classes and through keeping a reflective diary. The course helps students learn how to create help programmes for places like hospitals, schools, and businesses.

For one year, students go to study at a partner university somewhere in Europe. This provides a great chance to travel, study abroad, and gain international experience. Students also have access to professional laboratories and facilities at Kent, and can take part in research projects to discover the main rules of psychology.

Teaching happens through weekly lectures, practical workshops, small group discussions (seminars), and supervision for projects. The BSc Psychology with Clinical Psychology with Year Abroad at the University of Kent is the first step toward becoming a clinical or forensic psychologist, or working in marketing, public relations, or human resources.
