MEng Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

University of Hull

Course overview

The MEng Robotics and Artificial Intelligence is a four-year, full-time, integrated Master’s degree focused on programming and building robotic systems that interact with the physical world, alongside artificial intelligence tools that allow them to operate autonomously.

Students develop a strong foundation in computer science and gain advanced programming skills using industry-standard languages such as Python. The curriculum combines robotics, AI, and software engineering to prepare students for high-demand technical careers.

The final year is delivered at Master’s level and includes advanced specialist modules and the opportunity to complete a substantial research or industry-based project.

Learning is highly practical, with extensive use of the Robotics Lab, featuring equipment such as DJI drones, TurtleBot3 mobile robots, and access to the Turing Lab for high-performance AI computing. Assessment is continuous and includes the development of a professional portfolio of work.
