BSc Child Nursing
Course overview
This three-year, practical degree is fully approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and gets students ready for an excellent career looking after children's health. Their time is split equally, with half spent in classes learning theory and the other half spent on placements (practical work with mentors). This 50/50 split means they gain all the professional skills required to care for sick and healthy children and their families.
Learning takes place in the £28 million Health Campus using state-of-the-art facilities like mock hospital wards and neonatal units for simulation practice. Assessment involves a mix of academic methods, such as assignments and examinations, alongside continuous assessment of their skills during placements. Upon graduation, they are eligible to register as a qualified Children's Nurse with the NMC.

English Proficiency:
- Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to submit acceptable evidence of their English language proficiency level.
- For this course, applicants must score an overall 7.0 in the IELTS Academic test, with no less than 7.0 in each skill (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
